Graduation and Exams

Exams and Credit Points

The LL.M. program requires completion of 410 lectures. The absence of elective modules (except study trip to USA, China and Luxembourg/Brussels) allows students to complete the degree requirements during a single academic year with a presence time of only eight months. During these eight months, attendance of class is mandatory and a final thesis must be written to conclude the studies.

Participants must complete either graded examinations, presentations or written work for each module. Academic credit, in compliance with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), will be awarded for passing examinations and/or written works. A minimum of 70 out of a maximum of 83 ECTS points must be achieved in order to successfully complete the program.

Graduation

The Faculty of Law of the University of Zurich awards successful graduates of the program the following title:

LL.M. UZH in International Business Law
(with reference to the chosen specialization)
